Cozys carries out its own maintenance in its own purpose-built workshop in Sandy, and our vehicles are routinely maintained to the highest standards.
We follow the official DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness very closely, and hold the maximum 6-star BUSK Benchmark safety rating.

The workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art DVSA-approved equipment, including:
Smoke tester
Checks exhaust emissions against the required standards.
Headlight beam setter
Makes sure headlights are aimed correctly for safe night driving.
Our maintenance team has more than forty years’ experience between them, and we also have an apprenticeship scheme in place with the local college.

How we follow the DVSA guide
Every day
Daily walk-around checks and first-use inspections
All drivers carry out a walk-around check of their vehicle every day. The checks include, but are not limited to, external condition, lights, tyres, wheel fixings and bodywork. Drivers report any defects, or symptoms of defects, that could prevent the safe operation of the vehicle.
Every 6 weeks
Regular safety inspections
Each vehicle has a full inspection every 6 weeks. All inspections are planned 12 months in advance, and all reports are kept for 15 months.
Ongoing
Monitoring
All driver defect reports and safety inspection reports are checked regularly by the engineering director, to ensure compliance with DVSA requirements and our own internal quality systems. With such regular inspections, the maintenance team can also spot possible issues or faults and act on them before they become defects.
Every year
Annual PSV testing
Similar to the MOT for a car, each vehicle must be inspected every year by the DVSA at an approved testing station.
