UK and Europe
Choose International Driver CPC training if you drive professionally in both the United Kingdom and Europe. To obtain or renew an International Driver CPC, all 35 hours completed within the relevant five-year period must be International Driver CPC training.
UK only
National Driver CPC is for professional driving within the United Kingdom only. Drivers who work exclusively in the UK can complete National courses or a mixture of National and International courses to make up the required 35 hours.
Our International programme uses flexible 3.5-hour learning modules. Two compatible modules can be combined to create a full seven-hour periodic training day, allowing operators to select subjects that reflect their drivers, vehicles and operational risks.

If you previously held Driver CPC but your qualification has expired, the route back depends on your circumstances, when it expired and where you intend to drive.
| Registered course | Duration | Driver category |
|---|---|---|
| HGV Return to Driving | 7 hours | LGV |
| PSV Return to Driving | 7 hours | PCV |
Current return-to-driving route: A Return to Driving course can be used where a drivers Driver CPC expired less than two years ago. For UK professional driving, the driver can start once the seven-hour course has been completed and recorded, but must complete a further 28 hours within 12 months to remain qualified.
To return to professional driving in Europe, a driver must complete 35 hours of International Driver CPC before driving internationally. The seven-hour Return to Driving course can form part of those 35 hours. This route can only be used once in a five-year period.
Every operation is different. Our modular structure allows us to create a relevant seven-hour programme by combining suitable 3.5-hour modules.
We can help select topics based on:
Course combinations remain subject to DVSA approval requirements and suitability for the drivers attending.
Our courses are professional, welcoming and interactive. Depending on the subject, training may use practical scenarios, group discussion, case studies, knowledge checks and examples from day-to-day transport operations.
Driver CPC attendees should bring their driving licence and any other identification requested in the booking confirmation. Attendees must complete the required course duration and participate fully for their hours to be uploaded to their Driver CPC record.
We recommend checking your current training record and deadline before booking through the official GOV.UK Driver CPC training record service
Most professional bus, coach and lorry drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training during each five-year cycle to remain qualified.
Choose International training if you need to drive professionally in Europe as well as the UK. Drivers working exclusively in the UK can use National courses or a mixture of National and International courses.
Yes. Suitable 3.5-hour modules can be combined within our approved modular structure to form a seven-hour training day. We will confirm the available combinations when you book.
Yes. We welcome operator and group bookings and can help build a programme around your fleet, work type and training priorities, subject to applicable DVSA course requirements.
Periodic Driver CPC is attendance-based rather than a pass-or-fail driving test, although courses can include participation exercises and knowledge checks. Attendees must complete the required duration and engage with the training.
Training centres upload completed hours to the official recording system. If completed training is not showing after five working days, contact the training centre.
Drivers should complete varied and relevant training. Repeating the same subject without a sound developmental reason may not be appropriate, so speak to us before booking.
Tell us whether you are booking for yourself or a group, whether your drivers operate PCV or LGV vehicles, and whether they require National or International Driver CPC.
